  Is that podium thing unique to JW's? Do they build them?

  i was wondering about that half-table/half-podium thing that jw's use on the platform.

  is that unique to jw's & do they build them, like shakers had their own furniture?.

  England is poisoned for me

  i used to live in a part of england that was popular with tourists.

  the kind of tourist who wanted to experiance the "real" rural england.

  they would come to my town and thrill at the quaint old shops, delight in afternoon tea at the many little tea rooms.

  Highdose, I did the same but from Gatwick!.

  For me never accidently bumping into people (family) who made life a living hell for me was a huge attraction. Plus the sunshine. I am so glad you have a new and wonderful life and wish you every happiness. I would do it again if I could.

  pretended not to see me, dropped her her head and moved very quickly in the opposite direction.. i love being a dangerous apostate!!

  First Aid, Witnesses and Principles of the good samaritan

  there is another thread on here regarding elders and cpr.. having read the thread and not wishing to hijack it some thoughts struck me.. in most places in north america you don't have a legal duty to help someone in need if you are a first aider.

  to aid this there are the principles of the good samaritan.

  these are identified by the st john ambulance as:.

  In my experience when faced with life and death circumstances instinct kicks. Normal thinking stops, time slows down and you do what is necessary to save that life, regardless of who they are.

  it is so strange how once you distance yourself from your kingdom hall and friends, that they find it necesary to discuss and contemplate your departure and put out all kinds of statements that simply are not true.. i am licking my wounds today because some kind of nasty things were said about me to a friend of mine who is df, from her ubber righteous sister.

  it was via text, so it was there to read.

  the thing i can't figure out is i have nothing to do with this woman.

  i know the WTBS like to bang on about apostates making people leave... but i tell you now, never mind apostates, the biggest threat JW's face is the "loving treatment" from their own kind. I'd be willing to bet that this takes far more out of the cult per year than any apostates do.

  They like to bang on about "how they have love for one another", but they don't. It was their lack of love that showed me they were false and led to me searching the "apostate web sites".
